" They may appear to be well written and extremely pertinent, but they frequently become increasingly similar, requiring employers to spend more time confirming whether the experience is genuine. Weston added that the dependability of skills listed on CVs is a major obstacle. Candidates may be able to better articulate their experiences with the assistance of generative AI, but it may also blur the distinction between misrepresentation and reality.

According to Weston, "it has never been simpler to produce a perfectly tailored CV for a specific role in minutes." "However, employers are being forced to apply more scrutiny to understand what those skills mean in practice because this doesn't necessarily reflect an individual's true experience and skill set." The findings of Robert Half's research point to this worldwide trend. AI-generated CVs pose challenges, according to 65% of hiring managers in the US, while enhanced resumes are making skills harder to verify in Canada, according to 64%. Sixty- six percent of respondents in Brazil claim that generative AI is increasing the number of false or exaggerated CVs, and three-quarters of respondents in Australia claim that AI-generated applications are making candidate screening more challenging.
