The making of this spiritual blockbuster was brought to life by Director Vishal Chaturvedi, a former medical professional turned movie maker. He spent twenty years developing the core narrative of this devotional film, originally writing it as a book titled Divine Detour. The cinematic adaptation, capturing the essence of the saint millions consider a true Hanuman Ansh, was funded and backed by Swambhu Media Network, alongside co-producers Namrata G. Singh, Ragini S., Anupriya A. Nagar, and Chaturvedi himself.

In this highly anticipated spiritual movie, Shobhinav Satyaa delivers a highly acclaimed performance as the revered saint. The role of his younger self, Lakshman Das, is portrayed by Vihaan Shedge, with a supporting ensemble featuring strong performances from Rajiv Mishra, Gulshan Pandey, Purnima Tiwari, Anil Rastogi, and Chandan K. Anand. Observing the life portrayed on screen, it is clear that the supernatural energy and compassion of Lord Hanuman lived within Neem Karoli Baba. Though Maharaj Ji never called himself God; he wore a simple blanket and described himself only as a humble servant of Lord Ram and Hanuman. However, his miracles, his ability to read people's minds without them speaking, and his power to cure incurable diseases proved that he was no ordinary person, but a direct Hanuman Ansh.

Making this movie was an uphill battle as the team had no funds for major advertising campaigns. Upon release, it clashed with high-budget studio films, resulting in a dismal opening day collection of merely 10 lakhs. By the second week, theater owners had drastically reduced its screenings to just 25 locations nationwide, pushing the project to the brink of commercial failure. Instead of giving up, the creators turned to community-driven outreach, hosting traditional free food distributions (bhandaras) to share the saint's teachings. This unique grassroots approach sparked massive word-of-mouth momentum, turning the film into a true box office miracle. It surged in its third week, ultimately collecting over 53 crores and transforming from a struggling indie project into a massive success. This enduring devotion is the exact same faith that inspired Baba ji to build over 108 Hanuman temples across India during his lifetime.

His holy ashram, Kainchi Dham, located in the valleys of Uttarakhand, is now a major global center of faith. The spiritual energy of this great saint was not limited to India; its impact famously reached Silicon Valley in America. A visit to Kainchi Dham brought a massive turning point in the lives of Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg. In 1974, when Steve Jobs was going through a tough time and saw no clear path for his future, he came to India looking for spiritual peace and blessing, specifically traveling to Kainchi Dham to see Baba.

Although Neem Karoli Baba Maharaj Ji had already left his physical body (taken Mahasamadhi) before Steve arrived, the ashram's mystical energy gave Jobs deep peace of mind. Years later, when Facebook was going through its worst phase and was on the verge of being sold, Steve jobs suggested Mark Zuckerberg to go to India and spend time at that same ashram. Zuckerberg went there, and it was there that he received a clear vision to connect the world together.

Maharaj Ji's blessings and love did not just attract tech giants; many Western scholars also became his disciples. A famous example is former Harvard University professor Richard Alpert, today known as Ram Dass. After meeting Baba, Ram Dass's life changed completely. He wrote the bestselling book Be Here Now, which brought a wave of Indian spirituality to the West. Another famous disciple is Krishna Das, often called the "Yoga Rockstar." He learned devotional singing (Kirtan) in Baba's presence and eventually earned a Grammy nomination for it.

After Baba left his physical body, Shri Siddhi Ma took full responsibility for guiding the devotees and managing the Kainchi Dham ashram. She was a supreme devotee who spread Baba's traditions of food service (Bhandara), love, and spirituality across the world until her final days.

Today, Kainchi Dham remains a very peaceful and beautiful ashram located about 17 kilometers from Nainital, Uttarakhand, on the Bhowali-Almora road, sitting among pine trees near the Shipra River. To reach there, you can take a train to Kathgodam station and then take a bus or taxi directly to the temple. Nestled in the mountains, the grace of this Hanuman Ansh still showers upon this place today, giving everyone who visits a magical feeling of deep peace.
